Project introduction:Yuewang Road and Shiguanzi Alley are located in the middle of Hangzhou’s urban geometric location withrelatively complex functions of buildings on both sides. Each building is in its own array, lacking organic connections and negativespace quality, resulting in fragmented overall space. In this case, the chaotic facade, fragmented space and congested ground traffic are rectified by coordinatingthe pavement paving, road signs and leisure landscape facilities with the charm of regions south of the Yangtze River, attempting toreshapethe urban temperament of the ancient city streets and alleys by improving the integrity and unity of both sides of the road.
